Chicago Theatre turns 90 this Wednesday, tour the venue — Ray Davies, Florence & the Machine, Tori Amos, & more shows
Bon Iver @ Chicago Theatre (more by Grant MacAllister)
Famed Loop staple, the Chicago Theatre is turning 90 years old this Wednesday (10/26)! After years of meticulous upkeep, the venue has never looked better.
Here’s what Chicagoist had to say about it:
The Chicago Theatre turns 90 years old on Wednesday. They’re celebrating by offering special marquee tours of the landmark theater today through Wednesday. They’re busting out the Wurlitzer Organ for a rare, live performance during the tours, too. By the way, the first event at Chicago Theatre back in 1921 was the silent film The Sign on the Door, featuring a 50-piece orchestra in the pit.
Tickets for said tour can be found HERE.
The venue also has some great shows coming up within the next few months.
AND THEY’VE JUST ADDDED
A December 4th Florence & the Machine show, with support from Laura Marling(!)
Tickets go on sale this Saturday (10/29), at 10AM CST.
