Panda Bear (aka Animal Collective member Noah Lennox) brought his spring North American tour through Chicago for the very first show at Pilsen’s revitalized Thalia Hall on Wednesday night (5/21). Lennox previewed material from his forthcoming Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper LP, which seems to be chock-full of heady jungle beats like the ones found on AC’s Merriweather Post Pavilion. He also played a few tunes from 2011’s excellent Tomboy, and AC visual collaborator Danny Perez was on hand to take care of graphics.
