The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a short fall North American tour, which includes a hometown show on October 14th (venue TBA). Regardless of the lack of venue, tickets go on sale on Saturday (8/27), at 10AM CST. There will probably be a pre-sale with passwords so stay tuned right here for more details.

As Andrew has just mentioned, the Pumpkins are gearing up for the release of their new LP Oceania, due to hit stores in early 2012. Take a listen to a new song titled “Owata” below.

They are also set to reissue all of their pre-breakup material over the course of the next three years. This will start with Gish, and Siamese Dream on November 15 via EMI, and continue with Pisces Iscariot, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, The Aeroplane Flies High, and Adore in 2012, followed by the Machina albums, and a greatest hits album in 2013.

Head to BrooklynVegan for more insight on Oceania and the reissues, plus all 2011 dates.
