Superchunk, Diarrhea Planet, Mutual Benefit & Diane Coffee playing in-stores at Saki during Tomorrow Never Knows
Superchunk @ Hideout Block Party 2013 (more by Jeff Ryan)
As we’ve been telling you, Lincoln Hall and Schubas are bringing a bunch of great bands through Chicago this week for their Tomorrow Never Knows Festival. Some of those bands will be playing in-stores at Saki Records in addition to their stacked venue shows. You already know that Diane Coffee—-the project of Foxygen’s Shaun Fleming—-play a 5PM in-store tonight (Wednesday, 1/15) and that Mutual Benefit and Thin Hymns visit the shop for a 3PM event on Friday afternoon (1/17), and here are some new developments. Superchunk‘s Mac McCaughan and Jim Wilbur are slated for a 3PM acoustic in-store on Saturday afternoon (1/18) and Diarrhea Planet will roll through for a blistering 4PM set on Sunday (1/19). All in-stores are free, open to all-ages, and are BYOB. You’ll also get 20% off any title from a TNK band this week. Sweet deal, huh?
