The Horrors to release ‘Skying’, playing Lincoln Hall +++ other 2011 dates

The Horrors have announced the release of their new LP Skying, out July 11th (August 9th in the US) via XL Recordings. Skying; the group’s third album, will serve as the follow-up to 2009’s excellent Primary Colours.

According to the band; the album was produced and recorded 100% in-house, at their self-built studio in Dalston, London.

Skying‘s primary single; “Still Life” can be heard after the jump.

A few days after the UK release of Skying; The Horrors will play their first show of 2011 in Glasgow.

One of their first US shows of 2011 will be MusicfestNW, taking place September 7th – 11th in Portland, OR (schedule TBA). They’ll perform on September 9th, at Dante’s.

Lincoln Hall has just announced that the band will be playing on September 25th.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, at noon CST.

At the moment, their only other US date is ATP NJ (aka “Ill Be Your Mirror”). They’ll play on Saturday (October 1st) of the festival; curated by Portishead.
