The Raincoats to reissue ‘Odyshape’, playing Double Door +++ other 2011 dates


Post punk pioneers; The Raincoats have just announced the reissue of their 1981 sophomore LP, Odyshape (Rough Trade). The album will be a remastered version, and appear on 180 gram vinyl & CD, along with liner notes from Sonic Youth‘s Kim Gordon. Although originally released via Rough Trade, the band will be handling this one via their own WeThRee label.

In support of the reissue, The Raincoats will head out on a short US tour in mid-September. One of those stops will be a first-ever Chicago show for the group, at the Double Door on September 19th. Tickets will be posted shortly.
