Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra to play Lincoln Hall

Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra @ ATP NJ (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
153

Canada’s Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra have just announced a very rare Chicago appearance, set for January 28th at Lincoln Hall. The band played a short string of East Coast dates earlier this fall (most notably ATP NJ), and it has been reported that a new composition entitled “What We Loved was Not Enough” made its way into their setlists. Their latest studio record Kollaps Tradixionales came out in 2010 via Constellation Records. Could a new album be in the works? Stay tuned for more details.

Fans have been wondering about the enigmatic band for years now.
The F.A.Q. section on their website explains it all…

Q: HOW COME SO MANY BAND-NAMES? WHY SO CONFUSING? ALSO, WHY YOU ARE IRRITATING?

Q: HOW COME ARE YOU ANARCHISTS? BECAUSE MANY INTERNETS SAY THAT YOU ARE, AND SAY ALSO THAT ANARCHISMISM IS NAIVE, AND SO YOU ARE TOO? IF SO, THEN HOW COME YOU’RE NAIVE? IS IT A “PUNKER” THING? LIKE JOHNNY RODDEN?

Q: I HAVE A HOUSE! I HAVE A APARTMENT! WILL YOU COME AND PLAY A SHOW IN MY HOUSE APARTMENT?

Q: GODSPEED? ARE THEY YOU? WHO ARE YOU? I DONT LIKE YOU NOW, WHEN WILL YOU BE GODSPEED AGAIN?

Tickets for their Lincoln Hall performance go on sale this Friday (11/18), at noon CST.
