Willis Earl Beal’s Best of 2012

Willis Earl Beal @ Pitchfork Fest 2012 (more by Fred Pessaro)
Willis Earl Beal

Chicago eccentric Willis Earl Beal, currently on tour in Australia, gave Pitchfork his ‘Best of 2012′. Sadly it includes a place he’d like to move. Not surprisingly it includes a note about him doing what he wants. It also notes he recently got married. Congrats Willis! Check out his full list below…

Willis Earl Beal’s Best of 2012

Getting married to my wife, Jessica: Best choice I’ve made in a while.

Joining up with Hot Charity/XL Recordings: I got to give it to them, they said they would let me do what I want, and they really do let me do what I want.

Chapulines (fried grasshoppers): Tried these in Spanish Harlem, they’re as good as they sound.

Hog Head Souse: Pretty much speaks for itself.

Hash muffins: Definitely speaks for itself.

Portugal: Wow.

Haldern, Germany: Great crowd, can’t wait to go back.

Lancaster, California: I would move here and stay forever.

The film Holy Motors: If you haven’t seen it, you should.

My golden Italian Mask: It may or may not make an appearance on tour in 2013.
