American Football announce openers for New Year’s Chicago shows (Pele reunion included)

The openers have been announced for American Football's four-night New Year's run in Chicago. The lineups look like this:

Dec 30 The Bottom Lounge Chicago, IL w/ Braid
Dec 31 The Bottom Lounge Chicago, IL w/ Pele, S. Carey
Jan 01 Lincoln Hall (All Ages) Chicago, IL w/ Joan of Arc
Jan 02 Lincoln Hall (18+) Chicago, IL w/ Maritime

That's the first announced reunion show for Pele, the been-reunited Braid and two bands who (like American Football) are fronted by ex-Cap'n Jazz members, Joan of Arc and Maritime. And as we explain here, S Carey is only a few degrees of separation from Pele.

Night 4 is sold out, but you can still get tickets to nights 1, 2 and 3.
