Angel Olsen & Heron Oblivion @ Riviera Theatre (pics)

Angel Olsen has been on tour with Heron Oblivion behind her excellent 2016 release, My Woman, and its accompanying collection of b-sides, demos, and covers, Phases, which came out earlier this year. That tour made its way to Chicago for a stop at Riviera Theatre on Saturday (12/9), an upgrade from her previous shows at Thalia Hall; as she joked on stage, she was "coming up north to play this time." Like at her recent shows in NYC, Angel's set focused mostly on material from My Woman, but she also included some earlier material and a cover of The Velvet Underground's "I Found a Reason."
