A.V. Fest / Hideout Block Party 2013 began on Friday evening with performances by Neko Case, Mavis Staples, Trampled By Turtles, and Nude Beach. Neko headlined the whole shebang in support of her excellent new album, The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You. She's also got a new band member--Archers of Loaf // Crooked Fingers leader Eric Bachmann on guitar. We've got pictures and a few videos from Day 1 of the festival in this post.
