Chance the Rapper created a joyful environment in Chicago on Saturday to match the jubilant, gospel-driven sound of his new mixtape “Coloring Book.”

Inside a warehouse on the north side of the city, a bouncy castle, an inflatable slide, candy, games and church pews met the several hundred Chance fans who had ridden school buses to the undisclosed location from a nearby gathering spot. It was part secret clubhouse, part DIY carnival, where people danced, wrote messages in marker and, well, played as songs from “Coloring Book” boomed over the speakers. [Wall Street Journal]

Chicago rapper Chance the Rapper released his great gospel-rap mixtape Coloring Book earlier this month, and in celebration of that, he transformed a warehouse in his hometown into "Magnificent Coloring World." He didn't perform, though he was in the house and the event was quite the spectacle, as the above review points out. Pictures are in this post.
