Disappears @ Do Division 2013 (more by Kirstie Shanley)

Chicago's Disappears are set to release a new full-length album, called Era, on August 27 via longtime label Kranky. The band haven't shared any cuts from it yet, but we should be hearing something soon. They've already dropped a pair of 12"s so far this year, titled A New House in a New Town and Kone, the latter of which you can stream at the bottom of this post.

Brooklyn transplants Weekend are also prepping a new LP, titled Jinx, for release on July 22 via Slumberland Records. The goth-y trio have shared a pair of singles from Jinx, called "Mirror" and "It's Alright," which you can take a listen to below. They've also mapped a fall North American tour in support of the LP, and many of those dates are co-headlining gigs with Disappears. One of those is a performance at the Empty Bottle on September 20. Advance tickets for the Chicago show are on sale now.
