Look, Twitter humor is tricky. Some comedians use it to provoke. Others, like Kumail Nanjiani, use it to test out shorter jokes. And yet others gain celebrity entirely from Twitter - Megan Amram, Shelby Fero, and the honorable Karl Welzein, or @DadBoner to name a few. Chances are you've seen @DadBoner's tweets somewhere on the internet - the dude has over one hundred thousand followers and has even written a book. The man supposedly running the account, Karl Welzein, is a middle class, blue collar, fast-food loving father living in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He's notorious for his blunt advice ("People who think they're happy cause they got a fancy job gotta remember: Rich or poor, cold beer tastes the same so who cares, you guys.") and tendency to overshare ("Really hurtin. Feel like I drank a thousand beers last night. And/or a bottle of hard booze. And/or slept on the concrete. Kinda concerning?"). And now, he's taking his 140-character life on the road, for a grand "Power Moves American Tour" with comedian Matt Braunger. They're stopping at The Abbey on October 11. Tickets for the Chicago show are on sale now.

If you're interested in finding out more about the man behind the tweets, Vice did an "expose" on the LA-based comedian responsible for creating Mr. Welzein, Mike Burns. Watch the mini-documentary and check out his full tour schedule below...
