Kelis streaming new album ‘Food,’ playing Park West on summer tour (dates)

Forward-thinking R&B singer Kelis is back with a new, Dave Sitek-produced LP, called Food, which is due to hit stores on April 22 via Ninja Tune. The album is a far cry from that infectious hit song she had about a decade ago, and is now streaming ahead of its release via NPR. In addition to the stream, NPR will also be hosting an interview with Kelis TODAY (4/14) at 3PM CST. Here are the details:
At 4 p.m. ET on Monday, April 14 [3PM CST], we'll all hit play on this First Listen, and for an hour Kelis will take questions and tell stories on Twitter about creating an album that sounds like nothing we've heard from her before. Join the conversation by using the hashtag #AskKelisNPR and following @iamKelis and @NPRandB.
Kelis has also announced a brief summer North American tour in support of Food. That tour includes a performance at Park West on June 9. Ticketing information for the Chicago show is forthcoming, but check JAM Productions' site for updates.
