Matthew E. White welcomed his tremendous debut album, Big Inner, last year via his own Spacebomb Records/Hometapes. The record was then reissued by Domino in January, and White has done quite a bit of touring in support of it. He's currently on the road in Europe and will also be opening a number of dates on Okkervil River's fall North American tour. This includes their Chicago show at Metro on November 2. Advance tickets are still available.
In addition to some new tour dates, White has also shared a great remix of Big Inner's "Big Love" by Hot Chip. As he put it, it's a mix "that unlocks the song and turns it inside out." They've stretched it into a seven-minute number from its original four, and you can take a listen to the track at the bottom of this post.
