Chicago's own and very enigmatic MR. 666 (aka Michael Perkins) is scheduled to play two upcoming shows at The Burlington. Perkins' dark, drone-y synth layers are very similar to those created by artists like Xeno & Oaklander and Oneohtrix Point Never. There is an underlying dance element in his work. His most recent album, an August 2011 self-titled effort, a more polished and fully realized project, builds upon what it seems like he set out to do with older material. Catch MR. 666 at the Logan Square venue on January 25th, with support from NYC's Shock Diamond. He'll play The Burlington again on February 13th, acting as support for Chandeliers along with Pooper and Xina Xurner. Check out some song streams below.

Speaking of Chandeliers, they'll play Schubas tomorrow night (1/11), supporting Com Truise, DOM, and Lazercrystal. As mentioned, five-day passes are now sold out, though single tickets are still available for this specific show.
