Concord Music Hall -- Stage

Local independent promotors Riot Fest, React Presents, and Silver Wrapper have joined forces for a new venture -- Concord Music Hall. The Concord, located at 2047 N. Milwaukee Ave. in the Bucktown-Logan Square area, has a capacity of 1,600-persons and is poised to compete with the nearby Congress Theater (a venue which all three companies have thrown many shows at). It'll open next Thursday (8/1) with a performance by Adam Ant; tickets are on sale now.

They've also got an initial schedule of events going, with rock, electronic, and hip-hop offerings. AlunaGeorge (live), Passion Pit (DJs), and Capital Cities (DJs) will play the venue on August 30, There will be Riot Fest afterparties, Jimmy Cliff on September 20, Jason Isbell on October 26, and more. Ticketing information is forthcoming, as is The Concord's website (as you can see from the photo above). You might never have to go to The Congress again; doesn't that sound great!?!

UPDATE: Their website is now live, and tickets for all shows are on sale now. Gogol Bordello's August 17 performance at Congress Theater has also been moved to The Concord.

Stay tuned for more information on the Concord.
