Phosphorescent @ ACL 2011 (more by Tim Griffin)

Phosphorescent (aka Matthew Houck) will release his new album, Muchacho, on March 19 via Dead Oceans. Check out the LP's lead single "Song for Zula," which features a string section and some light drum programming, at the bottom of this post. Muchacho's cover art and tracklisting are also below.

Houck and his band will be touring North America in support of the LP this spring. That tour kicks off at SXSW in Austin, TX, and will reach Chicago on April 13 for a performance at Lincoln Hall. Tickets go on sale this Friday (2/01) at noon CST.
