Swerp Mansion no longer having shows; Gnarfest moving to a different venue

Chicago DIY staple Swerp Mansion, which is also home to Swerp Records, will no longer be having shows due to recent issues with the police. Though we unfortunately don't have coverage of many Swerp shows, I've personally seen a handful of great ones there, including Hop Along in 2012 and Greys in April. Unlike many other DIY spots, Swerp was always a dry venue/all-ages. It's definitely a bummer.

The third-annual Gnarfest was set to take place at Swerp Mansion on August 3. Gnarfest IS still happening, but the search for a new location is ongoing. Check out a brief Facebook post from Swerp booking expert Dave Collis:

As some of you may or may not know, Swerp Mansion is no longer having shows due to recent cop problems. Don't worry, for Gnarfest is DEFINITELY still happening. Jeremy and I have been working out leads/discussions with various venues to solidify a new location.
