The Evens playing Logan Hardware in July

The Evens, the project of Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat) and Amy Farina (The Warmers), released one of my favorite records of 2012, The Odds. The LP serves as the pair's third full-length, and like their others, arrived via MacKaye's Dischord Records. Though the duo have done some touring in support of the album, it's been a bit since they've played Chicago. That'll change soon when they headline Logan Hardware on July 1. Admission to the show is FREE, but there will be a suggested donation at the door. Trust us; you want to be there.

In related news, Deathfix, fronted by Fugazi's Brenden Canty, will be playing Lincoln Hall on September 3 with Pinback.
