The Standells playing Mayne Stage on spring US tour
Los Angeles garage rock vets The Standells have announced that they'll be embarking on a spring US tour in late-April. That tour includes a performance at Chicago's Mayne Stage on May 13, and ticketing information is forthcoming. The Standells are best known for their hit "Dirty Water," which is the title track of their 1966 LP, but their catalog includes other gems like "Medication" and "Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White." In 2013, they returned (without Dick Dodd (RIP)) with their first new album in over 40-years, called Bump. You can take a listen to the LP via Rdio.
