Titus Andronicus & Craig Finn @ Thalia Hall (pics/setlist)
photos by James Richards IV
Titus Andronicus and Craig Finn's tour hit Chicago on Sunday (3/13) and these two are a good match, as they've built careers on bridging the gap between punk and Springsteen-inflected classic rock. Finn played an opening set that was heavy on his solo material, although he did find time to hit The Hold Steady's "Certain Songs" and Lifter Puller's "Nassau Coliseum." Titus played a bunch of stuff from last year's A Most Lamentable Tragedy, along with some older classics. They finished the night bringing Craig out for a cover of The Replacements' "Bastards of Young," which they've done before.
